A scope capture often ends up as a screenshot or an exported image, not something you can actually measure. Turning that image into a usable trace can take longer than the rest of the diagnosis. A useful reference for comparison might live in a different tool, a different technician's notes, or nowhere written down at all -- and even when you find one, it rarely shares your capture's timebase or gain. Once the repair is done, the evidence that got you there usually disappears with the invoice.
